Test of the new Walmart coupon policy!!

I went to Walmart today to "test" out their new coupon policy.  According to the new coupon policy, Walmart will give you overage on a coupon if it exceeds the value of the product!   They will either give you cash back or you can use the overage toward other items in your basket.  I have received overage at Walmart before, but I always just used it toward other items in my basket.  So today, I wanted to put Walmart to the test and see if they really will give me money out of their register.  I purchased 8 Dial trial size body washes at 97¢ ea.  There is a $2.00 off  Dial Lotion or body wash (from the 6-12-11 RP) with no size restrictions coupon.  Here is how I did the deal.....

8 trial size Dial Body Washes @ 97¢ ea. = $7.76
- 8 - $2.00/1 Dial Body Wash coupon from the 6-12-11 RP
Subtotal =  negative $8.24 plus $0.52 tax = -$7.72 out of the register, into my pocket!!!

Other than the register prompting the cashier to override this coupon, there wasn't any questions about giving me the money out of their register!  Walmart paid me $7.72 to take this Dial Body Wash home with me!!  I couldn't believe it!!

I guess Walmart passed this test with flying colors!!

That is awesome! Which Walmart did you go to, Ontario or Possum Run?

I went to Ontario. They didn't have very many left, but I would imagine that they may have more in the back or they will get more when the truck comes in.
