Bragging time....and some smiles and laughs!!

As most of you know, my mother in law, Bev, had some major health issues this past year. For about a month now, she has been living with us and will continue to live with us until she can gain 100% of her strength back. With the help of a walker, she is able to get around our house very well, and I feel like she is getting better and better every day. Now, here comes the bragging part. The day was so beautiful yesterday and I wanted to get Bev outside to enjoy some of the sunshine. (she doesn't get out of the house much because it is somewhat hard for her to do) I suggested that we go for a walk, just around the outside of our house, and look at the flowers that were coming out of the ground. I had to run a quick errand and I told her to be ready to go when I got back. When I got home, to my surprise, she was sitting on the couch with her tennis shoes on, ready to go!!! We carefully got her down the steps to go outside, and started walking around, when she spotted my dad sitting outside at his house. (My parents live about an 1/8 of a mile away from my house, so I can see their house from mine.) She said to me, "Lets walk to your mom and dad's house." I looked at her and said "Are you crazy?" She said "yes, now lets go!" LOL So, off we went, down the very busy road that we live on, one old lady with her Rollator Walker and myself walking to the parents house!! Halfway there, my dad saw us coming, so he gets up out of his chair, and with his cane in hand, comes to meet us. So, now we are up to 1 old man with a cane, 1 old lady with her Rollator Walker and myself walking down the very busy road that we live on! I laughed and laughed at the site of us walking down the road, wondering what people thought! Surprisingly, we only had one car beep at us, BUT out of sheer determination, Bev made it to her goal!! (and I was one proud daughter in law!)

Thank you God for giving me that happiness in my life yesterday!

I am praying for her and your family.
